NPC Foundation Announces New Leadership and Recognizes Outgoing Trustees for Their Service

INDIANAPOLIS – The National Panhellenic Conference Foundation (NPC Foundation), which raises funds for and underwrites initiatives that launch and sustain women leaders, today announced its 2020-22 Board of Trustees. In addition, four outgoing trustees are being recognized for their dedication to serving the NPC Foundation and its mission.

The 2020-22 NPC Foundation Board of Trustees:

  • Barbie Chadwick, Gamma Phi Beta, president.
  • Carol Helmus, Delta Delta Delta.
  • Sarah Hughes, Alpha Delta Pi.
  • Cindy Jarboe, Kappa Kappa Gamma.
  • Diane Straker, Alpha Phi.

Dani Weatherford, NPC CEO, is also the NPC Foundation CEO. Mary Kacmarcik Baker serves as the NPC Board of Directors liaison to the NPC Foundation.

“Under the direction of the Board of Trustees, the NPC Foundation sponsors educational programs that address issues of health, safety, leadership and general women’s issues in today’s society,” said Dani Weatherford, CEO of the NPC Foundation. “A key part of this work is also offering scholarships to help undergraduate and graduate sorority women better afford the cost of higher education.

“I look forward to working with Barbie Chadwick, as she assumes her role as president, as well as the new and returning trustees. Together, we will advance the Foundation’s mission of helping every woman be a better citizen because of her lifelong sorority experience.”

The NPC Foundation recognized the commitment to service from four outgoing trustees. Each had reached her term limit in serving the NPC Foundation. The outgoing trustees are:

  • Ann Brookshire, Pi Beta Phi, former president.
  • Janet Brown, Alpha Omicron Pi, former president.
  • Benita Dick, Alpha Gamma Delta.
  • Susan Polizzotto, Sigma Kappa.

In recognizing the outgoing trustees, Ann Brookshire, 2018-20 president of the NPC Foundation Board of Trustees and member of Pi Beta Phi, said, “I am grateful to Janet, Benita and Susan for their commitment to the values of the NPC Foundation. They have given their time and talent over many years of service to help ensure we are empowering all Panhellenic women and that, in turn, those women are committed to the betterment of the campus culture and society overall.”
