Hilary Brewer︱Chief Communications Officer, Foundation for Fraternal Excellence and North American Interfraternity Conference
Hillary Brewer was initiated into Alpha Omicron Pi at Appalachian State University and serves as the Chief Communications Officer for the Foundation for Fraternal Excellence and North American Interfraternity Conference. Before joining the FFE/NIC team, she served in various roles on AOII’s staff for nine years. Passionate about enhancing the fraternal member experience through proactive and timely messaging, she has never met a deadline she didn’t love. In May 2025, Hillary completed her second term as president of the Fraternity Communications Association, in which she led the board of directors through adopting a new strategic plan. A Philadelphia Eagles fan by marriage, she lives in the heart of the city with her husband Kyle, where she also works part-time at a local gift shop.
Angela Crawford︱Director/ Owner, Blue & Co.
Angela Crawford has 22 years’ experience in public accounting. She devotes her time to working with not-for-profit organizations and leads the Blue & Co.’s not-for-profit tax practice. Angela earned her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and her Masters of Accounting degree from Miami University of Ohio. She is a member of the Indiana CPA Society and the American Institute of CPAs. Angela has served on various not-for-profit boards over the years and currently serves as a Treasurer of the Blue Foundation. Angela is a graduate of the Blue & Co.’s Building Leaders program and is a past winner of the firm’s Ron Blue Award for her dedication and commitment to the growth and development of the firm. She frequently publishes content for Blue & Co.’s not-for-profit industry website and external publications.
Kim Durand︱Deputy Athletic Director for Student Services/Senior Woman Administrator, University of Washington Athletics
Kim Durand is the Deputy Athletic Director of Student Services and Senior Woman Administrator of University of Washington Athletics, overseeing academic support, student-athlete development, athletic medicine, health and wellness, strength and conditioning, gender equity and sport administration. She serves on the UW Athletics Executive Leadership Team, represents UW at Big Ten and NCAA meetings, and is the sport administrator for softball and volleyball. Previously Senior Associate Athletic Director for Student Services (2005–2024), Durand also held leadership roles at UCLA and the University of Kansas. A past national president of the National Association of Academic and Student-Athlete Development Professionals (N4A), she received its Lan Hewlitt Award in 2011 and Distinguished Service Award in 2019. She holds bachelor’s degrees in rhetoric and communication and psychology, and a master’s in educational policy and management from the University of Oregon. Kim is a member of Pi Beta Phi.
Toby Eveland︱Managing Partner, Saul Ewing LLC.
Toby Eveland serves as Managing Partner for Saul Ewing LLP’s Chicago Office, which is the firm’s second largest office of its 18 offices throughout the country. As Managing Partner, Toby oversees a team of more than 120 attorneys and business professionals in Chicago. In addition to his role as Managing Partner, Toby is a skilled litigator and trial advocate for clients who are involved in high-profile cases that pose a risk to their reputation and complex business disputes that could affect their viability. His courtroom experience includes successes in state, federal and appellate courts in numerous states. Toby’s nationwide litigation practice focuses on three main areas: higher education and Greek letter organizations, municipal and government, and complex business disputes. In addition to his work in the courtroom, clients retain Toby because of his dedication to causes involving diversity and equality. He is a passionate civil rights advocate and previously served as Chair of the Illinois State Bar Association’s Diversity Leadership Council.
Cassie Gerhardt︱Senior Associate Vice President for Student Affairs, University of North Dakota (UND)
Cassie Gerhardt is Senior Associate Vice President for Student Affairs at the University of North Dakota, bringing nearly 30 years of experience supporting student success and development. She provides leadership and strategic vision for programs that enhance student engagement, belonging, well-being, retention and leadership, including fraternity and sorority life. A National Vice President for Alpha Chi Omega, she has also led the organization’s National Housing Corporation, serves on the Make-A-Wish North Dakota Board and was recently elected to the 2026–2028 NASPA Board of Directors. A two-time UND alumna with bachelor’s degrees in political science and secondary education, Gerhardt also holds a master’s in counseling and student personnel from Oklahoma State University and a Ph.D. in educational leadership from UND.
Micah Kamrass︱Attorney, Manley Burke
Micah’s practice focuses on higher education law, real estate law and election/campaign finance law. In his higher education law practice, Micah serves as general counsel and special counsel to numerous international fraternities and sororities and their affiliated entities. Micah assists NPC regularly by representing the interests of our community to university administrators who have taken policy positions that run counter to the rights of our members. Most notably, Micah led the legal effort against the University of Maryland.
Micah attended The Ohio State University as an undergraduate, graduate and law school student. While there, he served as student body president, representing 40,000 students. Micah was also president of The Ohio State University chapter of Alpha Epsilon Pi and served as a member of the Alpha Epsilon Pi International Supreme Board of Governors. In addition to his law degree, Micah has a doctorate in higher education leadership and policy from Vanderbilt University. Micah serves as an adjunct professor of higher education law at the University of Louisville and Vanderbilt University.
Lori McDonald︱VP for Student Affairs, University of Utah
Lori McDonald, PhD, is Vice President for Student Affairs at the University of Utah, where she has more than 27 years of experience advancing the student experience. She oversees all Student Affairs divisions, including Housing & Residential Education, Student Development & Inclusion, Student Health & Wellness and the Office of the Dean of Students, while serving on key leadership bodies such as the President’s Cabinet and the Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs’ team. An adjunct instructor in the College of Education, she holds a PhD in Educational Leadership & Policy and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah, as well as a master’s in higher education from The Ohio State University. Now in her sixth year as vice president, McDonald remains deeply committed to student success and the university’s mission of academic excellence. Lori is a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma.
Amy Parsons︱President, Colorado State University
Amy Parsons became the 16th President of Colorado State University in 2023 after 17 years in senior leadership roles at CSU and the CSU System. A CSU alumna with a JD from the University of Colorado, she brings experience in higher education, law and the private sector. Parsons serves on numerous national, state and local boards in business, culture and athletics and previously led CSU through major campus transformations, fiscal challenge and gender equity initiatives. In 2024–25 she received the CU Law Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award, was named Zeta Tau Alpha National Alumna of the Year and was inducted into CSU’s Inaugural Circle of Legends.
Meghan Parker︱CEO, Amplifying Sorority
Meghan is the executive director for Zeta Tau Alpha’s International Office. Prior to returning as executive director in 2016, she served on staff from 2005-09 in multiple roles, including traveling for the organization as a leadership consultant. From 2009-16, Meghan worked as a campus-based professional at St. Edwards University and Texas State University.
Meghan graduated from Oklahoma State University with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics. She lives in Westfield, Indiana, with her husband Aaron, their three children, Hayden, Elliot and Charleigh Mae and their two dogs.
Dan Shaver︱CEO, Affinity Licensing
In 1997, Dan founded and serves as CEO of Affinity, a values-based company that now handles the trademark protection, software development and licensing services for 195 inter/national Greek organizations, honorary societies, membership-based associations and universities. Dan is deeply committed to helping protect the history and heritage of Greek organizations and being a trusted and valued partner to help his clients succeed. Dan is a former chairman of the board for Sigma Chi’s Horizons leadership program and served as Philanthropy chair, working closely with the Huntsman Cancer Foundation. He is currently serving as Vice President of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. Alpha Chi Omega and Delta Delta Delta awarded Dan with their Vision Award for his work to protect and assist Greek organizations. As a result of his service, Dan was also recognized by the National Interfraternity Conference with the coveted Silver Medal award and the National Panhellenic Conference Interfraternal Partner Award.
Chris Smith︱Principal, Smith Insights
Chris Smith is a data-driven professional known for his expertise in membership data & analytics. With a degree in Mathematics from Middle Tennessee State University, he’s made a significant impact as the Director of Systems at Alpha Tau Omega National Fraternity. His work includes strategic data analysis and insights to enhance the member experience.
In 2019, Chris founded Smith Insights, a data consulting firm, where he excels at transforming data into actionable strategies. He’s also the Director of Research for the Alpha Tau Omega Foundation, where he drives effective fundraising efforts through donor prospecting and data analysis.
Outside of work, Chris serves as a Fulton County elections poll worker and is an avid learner, currently focused on proficiency in the German language. He offsets his carbon footprint from traveling by using public transportation and biking around his home in Atlanta.
