55 College Panhellenic Associations Across the U.S. and Canada Recognized for Excellence and Innovation in Panhellenic Operations and Support of the Women’s-Only Sorority Experience

INDIANAPOLIS — The National Panhellenic Conference (NPC), one of the largest advocacy and support organizations for women, is pleased to announce that 55 College Panhellenic Associations are being recognized with awards for excellence and innovation in their work to support the women’s-only sorority experience.

“At the end of each academic year, it’s important to pause to reflect and acknowledge the outstanding contributions made by our College Panhellenics that benefit the sorority community, the campus and the community at-large,” said Linda Henderson, College Panhellenics Committee chairman. “That reflection was even more important for 2019-20. Despite the challenges presented by COVID-19, College Panhellenics continued their focus on high achievement and community support, regardless of whether Panhellenic operations were managed in person or virtually. We are pleased to recognize these 55 College Panhellenics for excellence and innovation this year, and we look forward to all that College Panhellenics will achieve in the year ahead.”

College Panhellenic Associations are student-led cooperatives comprised of all NPC member sororities on a campus. NPC has recognized College Panhellenics with awards for more than 50 years. With NPC member organization chapters located at more than 670 U.S. and Canadian college and universities, only the top-scoring associations are honored.

NPC updated the College Panhellenic Awards program for the 2019-20 academic year to expand the award categories and success factors that indicate high achievement by a College Panhellenic. Despite the challenges to Panhellenic operations presented by the global pandemic, 10 more College Panhellenics were recognized with awards for the 2019-20 academic year over the prior year.

Under the updated award program, College Panhellenics may be recognized for the following award categories: academic innovation, community impact, judicial procedure, leadership, marketing, programming and recruitment. Within each category, award options include Innovation Awards granted to College Panhellenics that demonstrate outstanding and unique contributions to an individual award category and Excellence Awards granted to College Panhellenics that demonstrate outstanding contributions to all award categories.

To receive an Excellence Award or an Innovation Award, the College Panhellenic must also demonstrate a set of Panhellenic core competencies, such as adhering to NPC Unanimous Agreements and policies, meeting deadlines for dues and reports and keeping NPC’s information and contacts database up to date.

The list of all 2019-20 College Panhellenic award recipients follows.
