Once again, the National Panhellenic Conference Foundation is offering scholarships for outstanding Panhellenic women:

The Alpha Phi/Betty Mullins Jones Scholarship was established by the Alpha Phi Foundation to honor Betty Mullins Jones’ commitment to the National Panhellenic Conference. It is awarded annually to a collegiate Panhellenic woman who has worked to further her fraternal community’s reputation on her campus and who embodies the values of sisterhood, philanthropy and scholarship. This $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a woman who makes a difference in sorority life by serving on her college Panhellenic.  

The National Panhellenic Conference Foundation is pleased to offer the Elizabeth Ahlemeyer Quick/Gamma Phi Beta Scholarship. Established to honor Betty Quick’s long and devoted service to both NPC and Gamma Phi Beta, this $2,000 scholarship is awarded each year to a collegiate member in good standing of one of the NPC member groups. The recipient must be nominated by her College Panhellenic and shall have displayed outstanding service to her local college Panhellenic, hold a minimum 3.0 grade point average, and have been accepted for enrollment as a full-time junior or senior for the 2007-2008 academic year.

The 2008 deadline has passed.

NPC Foundation is also proud to sponsor scholarships for the following Alumnae Panhellenic groups. 

The NPC Foundation is pleased to announce scholarships sponsored in conjunction with the Honolulu Alumnae Panhellenic Association. Scholarships will be designated for the following classifications: a graduating senior of a high school in Hawaii who will attend a college or university with any of the 26 NPC groups on campus and collegiate women who have a Hawaii address, are initiated and active members in good standing of any of the 26 NPC groups, and who are degree candidates registered at a college or university for the upcoming fall semester.

Honolulu APH Scholarships will be available in the fall of 2008.

The Los Angeles Alumnae Panhellenic Association is offering three $1,000 scholarships for the 2007-2008 academic year to help young women continue their education and to encourage sororities to maintain high scholastic standards. These scholarships will be awarded to applicants who most exemplify sorority ideals for women. One scholarship per campus will be awarded to applicants from the following campuses: Loyola Marymount, UCLA, and the University of Southern California. To qualify for these awards, applicants must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher, be an active participant in her sorority and in either university activities or in community/volunteer projects (i.e. day care centers, tutorial programs, philanthropic fundraising events, etc.). Financial need and number of paid working hours will also be considered in selecting the recipients. Scholarships will be presented at each university’s Greek recognition program during spring 2007. The Los Angeles Alumnae Panhellenic Scholarship Application will be available in December 2008.

Nashville, TN Alumnae Panhellenic The Nashville $1,000 scholarships are for up to four college-bound graduating high school senior women whose primary residence is in the counties of Davidson, Rutherford (Murfreesboro portion), Sumner, or Williamson.

The Nashville, TN Alumnae Panhellenic Scholarship 2008 deadline has passed.

The NPC Foundation is pleased to announce scholarships sponsored in conjunction with the Newport Harbor Area Alumnae Panhellenic Association. At least one scholarship, the Daphne Award, will be available for a deserving collegiate Greek woman attending the University of California, Irvine (UCI). A second scholarship, the Minerva Award, will be available for an NPC sorority woman attending one of the following 17 universities:

  • California State University, Fullerton
  • California State University, Long Beach
  • California State University, Northridge
  • California State University, Pomona
  • California State University, San Bernardino
  • California State University, San Luis Obispo
  • California State University, San Marcos
  • University of California, Irvine
  • University of California, Los Angeles
  • University of California, Riverside
  • University of California, San Diego
  • University of California, Santa Barbara
  • Chapman University
  • Loyola Marymount University
  • San Diego University
  • University of San Diego
  • University of Southern California

The applicants must have graduated from one of the following 14 high schools located in Orange County: Corona del Mar High School, Costa Mesa High School, Edison High School, Estancia High School, Fountain Valley High School, Huntington Beach High School, Irvine High School, Marina High School, Newport Harbor High School, Northwood High School, Ocean View High School, University High School, Westminster High School and Woodbridge High School.

Newport Harbor Area APH Scholarships will be available in the fall of 2008.

 

The NPC Foundation is pleased to announce scholarships in conjunction with the Panhellenic Alumnae of Palm Beach County Florida. Several $500 and $1,000 scholarship will be awarded for the 2008 - 2009 academic year. An applicant woman must be a Palm Beach County resident entering her junior or senior year in a four-year college or university in the USA. The applicant must: be a full time student, a citizen of the USA, maintain a 3.0 grade point average, and show financial need. Application deadline is May 31, 2008. Panhellenic Alumnae of Palm Beach County Florida applications are due May 31, 2008.

The San Diego Alumnae Panhellenic (SDAP) awards at least four women in San Diego County with a $500 scholarship to a four-year institution with Sorority/Fraternity Life. Women are considered for not only academic achievement but for their school activities and involvement within the community. In addition to completing the application, women must submit a transcript and a letter of recommendation. Finalists are interviewed by local SDAP members. Scholarship recipients are honored at our SDAP June luncheon meeting. Women will receive the funds in the fall of their freshman year after SDAP receives confirmation of their college enrollment. The current scholarship and information about SDAP are posted at www.sdaph.org. The new application is posted in January and the application must be received by the scholarship chair by April 1st of that year. Please contact info@sdaph.org with any questions.
