Consulting Team Visit
WHAT:
The NPC consulting team program provides valuable assistance and has proven to be a significant resource to College Panhellenics and advisors.
BACKGROUND:
The consulting team program was developed in response to requests from College Panhellenics. The Team consists of two or four members which most likely will include:
* The College Panhellenic area advisor
* Another 1-2 Representatives from the College Panhellenics Committee of NPC and/or
* A Member of the Alumnae Panhellenics Committee
PURPOSE:
The purpose of the consulting team depends on the NEEDS OF YOUR PANHELLENIC. Your Panhellenic can request a general review, a recruitment visit or other assistance.
GENERAL REVIEW:
A general review by the consulting team consists of all aspects of Panhellenic operation. The intent of the review is to build on the strength of the Panhellenic with recommendations for positive actions and programs. Suggestions are offered after reviewing Panhellenic governing documents, questionnaires completed by Panhellenic delegates, officers, chapter officers and advisors and through personal interviews with various members of the campus and fraternity/sorority community.
RECRUITMENT VISIT:
All areas of the recruitment process are examined. The recruitment visit occurs during formal recruitment, and an NPC consulting team is there to assist the Panhellenic as needed. The team meets with the recruitment counselors, Panhellenic officers, Panhellenic advisor, chapter presidents, recruitment chairs, chapter advisors and recruitment advisors. They work with release figures and are involved in any recruitment infraction adjudications.
REQUESTING A TEAM VISIT:
Your College Panhellenic votes to invite an NPC consulting team to your campus, and votes to approve three possible dates (span of 2-4 days) for the visit. The request form is completed and sent to the NPC area advisor and the communications and programs coordinator at the NPC office. All requests for spring visits are due by Dec. 1. All requests for fall visits are due by May 1. If you do not know who your area advisor is, visit the area advisors page for her contact information.
COST:
Expenses of the visit are the responsibility of the College Panhellenic. Cost includes transportation, food and lodging for the team members and a consulting fee. The consulting fee is $125 per chapter on campus (effective for spring programs 2011).
LENGTH OF VISIT:
The length of the visit depends on the needs of the Panhellenic and generally is two to four days, and most often is held over a weekend. A visit for recruitment may be longer, depending on the recruitment schedule and any special needs of the Panhellenic.
