Statistics

Sorority membership is making a difference in the lives of college women!

Attached (pdf) are three graphs that are significant to the National Panhellenic Conference. Each graph represents specific verified numbers from the past 20 years’ statistics. In order to examine the full effect of the data presented, it is important to compare each graph as it relates to the others.

An example is to look at the Total NPC Collegiate Chapters graph and the Total NPC New Membership graph to see that while the number of total chapters has stayed constant for the past six to eight years, the number of new members jumped significantly this past biennium. This is a direct result of the new Release Figure Method being used these past two years with the larger recruiting campuses. We expect to see continued success for the next biennium when more Panhellenics will also benefit from the new RFM.

Another significant result is the 20-year Total NPC Membership. Here you will see that the bars continue to rise. When you consider that the number of total chapters has not gone up significantly and that the new member numbers have risen only twice in the past 10 years, the only answer for this total membership rise is that retention has significantly increased during that 10-year period.
